Somewhere between deep basslines and an endless starry sky, the story of Patiba begins. Always fascinated by outer space – by the sense of infinity that opens up when you simply look up at night – Patiba learned early on that the best moments are the ones where you briefly forget everything around you. That very feeling is what he’s now trying to translate into his music.
Musically, it all started in early childhood: guitar lessons laid the foundation for his sense of melody, harmony, and timing – a foundation that still resonates through his productions today. As someone who’s always been digitally creative, the step from guitar to producing his own music was only a matter of time. In his setup, he works with an MPK and an MPE for expressive, playable access to his sounds, producing in Ableton Live – the DAW that gives him the room he needs to experiment and fine-tune.
Patiba is drawn mainly to the sounds of deep house and chill house: warm, groovy beats, atmospheric textures, and tracks that leave room to breathe instead of pushing themselves forward. His productions are meant to feel like a long look up at the night sky – calm, expansive, but carried by a pulse that keeps you moving.
The name Patiba stands for a fresh start and a clear artistic identity he searched for a long time to find. It’s the name under which he wants to bring his music into the world – starting with deep house and chill house, with the goal of eventually moving toward trance and shaping bigger, more hypnotic arcs.
Beyond music, Patiba remains a person of many interests: he enjoys cycling, plays football, and – whenever the chance arises – looks up at the sky, whether chasing a rare comet or simply clearing his head. That curiosity and openness to the vast and the far-reaching is reflected in his sound: thoughtful, atmospheric, and always looking beyond the obvious.
